St. Lucia Fire Service, Saint Lucia

Active Project

In 2016, Firefighters Without Borders (FWB) partnered with the St. Lucia Fire Service (SLFS) to construct a new volunteer fire service training centre. FWB also donated two refurbished fire vehicles and other firefighting equipment, including hoses, nozzles, adaptors, and fire axes. 

Due to a variety of economic factors, the SLFS remains underfunded which has hindered their ability to provide emergency services to the citizens and visitors of Saint Lucia. The training centre will provide firefighters with valuable training under live fire conditions. The centre, along with the donation of two fire trucks and associated equipment, will significantly improve the SLFS’s firefighting and rescue services.
