Frank Lamie, President, Board Chairman

Frank began his 38-year career in the City of North York as a firefighter. He advanced through the ranks serving as a Training Officer, Chief Fire Prevention Officer, and Administration Chief. In 1998, he was appointed as Division Chief, Staff Services in the City of Toronto, and promoted to Deputy Fire Chief in 2006 with responsibility for the Fire Prevention and Public Education Division.

Craig Dockeray,
Vice President, Director

Craig has been a firefighter for more than 25 years and currently holds the rank of Platoon Chief for the Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services. Craig has a Bachelors and Masters in Agricultural and BioResource Engineering from McGill University. He has been a Board member for FWB since 2004 and has been involved with multiple International training and equipment delivery projects.

Geoff White,
Board Secretary, Director

Geoff is a lawyer (member of the Law Society of Ontario) and an experienced advocate and leader. He has also been an on-call firefighter since 2010. He serves on the Board of the Commission for Complaints for Telecom-television Services, among other Boards. He holds a BA from McGill, a JD and an MBA from Windsor, the BCL from Oxford, and the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.

Erika Adams,
Director of Marketing & Communications

Erika has several years of management experience in communications, stakeholder relationships, research, and policy. Her experience with the fire service comes from her work with the Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs and the Aboriginal Firefighters Association of Canada. Erika holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hon.) in Communications from the University of Ottawa, and a Masters in Public Administration and a Ph.D. in Public Policy from Carleton University. 

Rabia+Khattak

Rabia Khattak,
Director of Fundraising & Major Donors

Rabia is a development practitioner with national and international experience managing projects and fundraising for organizations such as United Way, Dignitas International, and United Nations. She is currently completing her Doctorate in Higher Education from the University of Liverpool, UK. She is passionate about helping people suffering in crisis and supporting them to rebuild their lives.

Nancy J McKenzie,
Legal Counsel

As a member of the Alberta Law Society, Nancy’s practice focuses on regulatory, contract/commercial, compliance, privacy, and corporate law. She is also experienced in labour, real estate and first nation law. The skill set that Nancy brings to FWB includes business transformation and change management, strategy development, negotiation, project management, and communications.

Jon Pannunzio,
Director of Training & Accreditation

Jon is a Fire Service professional currently serving as Division Chief-Professional Development and Training for Whitby Fire and Emergency Services. Jon holds a Bachelor of Arts from York University and has completed an Advanced Certificate in Public Administration from Ryerson University. He is currently a Pre-Service Firefighter Professor with Seneca and Durham College and an active International Instructor. 

Kevin Lambert,
Director of Volunteers

Kevin is a retired District Fire Chief from the Ottawa Fire Services.  He has a Bachelor's degree in Law and Political Science, Ontario Fire College Diploma and a Diploma in Municipal Management from AMCTO.  Through his 35 year career Kevin gained experience in training, fire prevention and administration. He also chaired several Ottawa Fire Services administrative committees and third party charities.


Amber Rushton, Director of Projects

Amber is a Public Safety professional, with 15 years of experience serving in various operational and response management capacities, collaborating with different teams across Canada, serving boards and committees and supporting and developing engaged and empowered partners through humanitarian work. Amber holds a Master’s Degree in Public Safety, designations in Project Management and Business Continuity, and a passion for fostering community resilience and stakeholder engagement.

Simon Smith,
Director of Equipment

Simon has been a firefighters for 27 years with the Burlington Fire Department. He currently holds the position of Suppression Captain. Simon is currently the HAZMAT Lead instructor for the BFD and has held instructor positions in water/ice rescue and emergency medical care. Simon most recently attended George Brown College for Emergency Management and Incident Management.

Kevin Kendall, Advisor

Kevin has been a logistics operations professional for more than 20 years. He has a broad range of experience in distribution centre operations and transportation, as well as expertise in production and materials management. Kevin provides FWB valuable insight into the logistics involved with transporting equipment to each of the communities and countries that we support.

Christina Stroud, Advisor

Christina Stroud is a collaborative and strategic communications professional with over 19 years’ experience. She has held leadership roles in both mid-sized privately held agencies and large multinational corporations. Currently, Christina is Head of Corporate Affairs at Syngenta Canada.
