Moose Deer Point First Nation, Canada

Moose Deer Point First Nation is located on Georgian Bay, just south of Parry Sound. This community, of approximately 300 people, has its own volunteer fire department and fire station including a fire truck and ambulance.

In the fall of 2016 and the spring of 2017, Firefighters Without Borders (FWB) partnered with the Moose Deer Point First Nation’s fire department to provide fire training. The training focussed on fire truck pump operations, hydrant, and portable pump operations, and managing and moving attack hose lines for fire suppression activities.
